Battle It Out

MONIN Coffee Creativity Cup 2025 will be held in three regional rounds will be held across India.

15th of May- Delhi
22nd of May- Mumbai
29th of May- Bangalore

Three winners from each region will qualify for the National Finals.

National Finale: Revealing Soon!

Global Finale: Kuala Lumpur

Competitors unable to meet deadlines or attend the competition dates must inform MONIN representatives immediately.

  • Participants must be 18 years or older (no upper age limit).
  • Each entry must include at least 10ml of a MONIN product available in India.
  • Each beverage must contain at least one shot of espresso (30ml +/- 5ml).
  • Espresso must be extracted using the provided espresso machine and grinder.
  • Participants may bring their own coffee beans or use those provided by organizers.
  • Homemade ingredients are allowed if they do not replicate existing MONIN products.
  • Participants must be employed in a café, bar, restaurant, or similar establishment (full-time or part-time).
  • Presentations must be conducted in English. Only two competitors per organization are allowed.
Format & Timings
  • Competitors must prepare four identical servings (three for judges, one for display).
  • Recipes must include at least 10ml of one MONIN product (excluding MONINfusion). Participants may use multiple MONIN products in their recipe.
  • Sugar substitute syrups must be paired with a second MONIN product.
  • Espresso extraction must occur during the presentation. No alcohol is permitted.
  • Ingredients must be safe for consumption and not directly compete with MONIN products.
  • Garnishes must align with the competition theme and can be prepared in advance.

All participants must submit registration details and recipes by the deadline set by MONIN India. Submissions will be reviewed based on recipe criteria and theme application.

Pre-stage preparation: 30 minutes
Setup time: 15 minutes
Presentation time: 10 minutes
Clean-up time: 5 minutes

Time Penalties: 1 point deducted per second beyond 10 minutes.
Exceeding 11 minutes results in disqualification.

FAQs

Registration forms will be available online. All participants must submit registration details and recipes by 7th May 2025, deadline set by MONIN India. Submissions will be reviewed based on recipe criteria and theme application.

Three regional rounds will be held across India. Three winners from each region will qualify for the National Finals.
National Finals: 10th June in India.
The National Champion will represent India in the Global Finals.

The three best participants in each Regional Competition shall be rewarded. The winner of the National Finals will represent India at the grand Global Finale in Kuala Lumpur.

Each panel will include:
• 1 Technical Judge (evaluates technique and skills).
• 3 Sensory Judges (assess creativity, flavor, and presentation).
• Judges panel includes MONIN representatives, industry professionals (e.g., baristas, chefs), and key opinion leaders or media personalities.

No, there is no registration fee.

  • Decision of winner for each competition would be basis various criteria as judges may deem fit and decision of company would be final.
  • All expenses incurred for participation in competition would have to be borne by the participant and company won't be liable to reimburse it.
  • If any candidate is found to be not fulfilling any of the eligibility criteria, then company reserves the right to disqualify candidate without any reason.
  • All participants are expected to participate and behave in proper way and maintain discipline at all times. Company reserves the right to disqualify any candidate found to be non-compliant on this.
  • Company reserves the right to verify original documents to evaluate eligibility criteria.
  • None of the participants are required to carry alcohol to the competition venue.
  • Competition venue would be announced separately by company and is subject to change.
  • Company reserves the right to cancel competition anytime without any prior notice.
  • Homemade syrups are forbidden if an identical flavour exists in the MONIN range.
